Museum collection exhibitions

- Kagoshima City residents must display a valid proof of address as listed below

3.My Number Card
4.Digital Citizen’s Card in the Kagoshima City Official Mobile App (15 years and up)
5.Other certificates issued by a public institution that list your name and address (Residence Card, various beneficiary certificates, etc.)
6.Student handbook or Student ID for a school within Kagoshima City (Elementary/Junior High/High School/University)
7.A school nametag, cap, or uniform that lists a Kagoshima City school (Elementary/Junior High/High School)
- Elementary and Junior High School students are given free admission to the permanent exhibition on the third Sunday of every month
- Museum Passport: The Museum Passport costs the amount of two visits to the museum and is valid for a year from the day of purchase. It can be used to see the museum collection exhibitions for an unlimited amount of times. It is available for purchase at the museum reception.We can issue it immediately so please feel free to request for one.
About cashless payment
We are now able to accept cashless payments for museum collection exhibit entry fees and museum passports. However, please be aware that cashless payment is not available for special exhibition entry fees and purchases of related merchandise.

- Discount tickets for cultural facilities are issued by the Kagoshima Convention & Visitors Bureau (a public interest incorporated foundation)
